Keynote Speaker: Steve Largent, NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks

Steve Largent was a college All-American at the University of Tulsa, a Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver with the Seattle Seahawks and an eight-year member of the United States House of Representatives. And now he’s back where it all began – Tulsa.

Largent moved back to his hometown in early 2016 and currently serves on the University of Tulsa’s Board of Trustees. Largent’s Oklahoma roots spring-boarded him to one of the greatest careers in NFL history.

Just a fourth-round draft pick of the Houston Oilers in 1976, Largent was traded to Seattle after four preseason games for an eighth-round pick.

By the time his career ended with Seattle after the 1989 season, Largent, a seven-time Pro Bowler, was the NFL’s all-time leader in career receptions (819), career receiving yards (13,089) and career touchdown receptions (100).

Largent, whose number is retired by both Tulsa and Seattle, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995 in his first year of eligibility.
